Rachel
Rachel has a bachelor's degree in Chinese from Vassar College in New York with all the necessary courses to minor in education. She has had several years of experience working as a primary educator. Her interest in education started when she enrolled in education courses in college. From then, she’s been in the education world in both the United States and Taiwan. In Taiwan, she worked as a lead teacher in a bilingual school and a test prep academy. She has tutored in many subjects including middle school history and math. Rachel is also a great Chinese (Mandarin) language tutor as well.
Throughout her experiences, Rachel has learned the importance of multiple intelligences and believes in tailoring learning experiences to fit the individual student. Her approach is to find a fun and engaging way to give the students the tools to want to continue to learn and be curious versus just cramming information. She looks forward to assisting and giving you the tools to have a growth mindset and to make connections between what the student learns in school and the real world.
